He added “My time as Chairperson has been extremely rewarding – anything you can do outside of your normal day job to give something back and enhance the area in which you live, and are passionate about, is important.”
In taking over the reins from Mike Buckley, Breffní Ingerton said “KCB has benefited tremendously from Mike’s leadership, commitment, passion, experience and drive to make things happen. Mike has raised the profile of KCB and highlighted the valuable contribution the business events sector makes to the local economy. Breffní is also Chairperson of Ireland BikeFest Killarney since the inaugural festival in 2007, now one of Europe’s premier touring motorcycle festivals which welcomes over 50,000 visitors to Killarney annually across the June Bank Holiday weekend.
Breffní Ingerton, incoming Chairperson, said “While the COVID-19 crisis has brought unprecedented challenges for our industry, innovation and collaboration is more important now than ever before. We will also continue to support government departments and state bodies in guiding Ireland out of the impacts of the global pandemic.”
